ORDINANCE N0.
AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND
AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS, THAT:
Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 9.278 and 9.668
through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority
and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change
the zoning c1ass~ficat~on of property within the City of Eugene;
Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans-
mitted therew~ th, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission
and this City Council, the request for zone change classification is in con-
formance with the General Plan; there i s a pub 1 i c need for the change i n zone;
and the pub 1 i c need can best be served by changing the classification of the
property;
NOW, THEREFORE,
Based upon the foregoing, the City Caunci] hereby adopts as its own the
specific affirmative findings cant ai ned i n the P 1 ann i ng Department staff notes
of Octaber 12, 1982, and the Planning Commission minutes of October 12, 1982,
for the reasons set forth therein, and
THE CITY of EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1, As provided by Section 9.218 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the
zoning map and the zoning ordnance schedule of district changes are hereby
amended to ref 1 ect the f o 11 owi ng change of zone ;
Tax Lots 902 and a portion of Tax Lot 900--Assessor's Map 17-04-33,
as mare particularly described on the attached Exhibit "A", generally
located north of the Amazon Channel between Terry Street and Danebo
Road ;
Change of zone from M-2 Light Industrial District to I-1 Special Industri a1
D~str~ct.
Section 2. The Planning Director is hereby authorized and directed
to cause the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes
attached to Chapter 9~ of the Eugene Code, 1971, to show the foregoing change of
class~f7cation of area and to note thereon the rule with respect tv building in
the appropriate classification.
