ORDINANCE N0.
AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE C(_ASSIFICATIQN AND
AMENDING THE zONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGE~~E, OREGON
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT:
Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 9,278 and 9.668
through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority
and respons i bi 1 i ty, subject to the 1 imitations contained therein, to change
the zoning c1assific ation of property within the Gity of Eugene;
Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the r~ateria1s trans-
mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Comr~ission
and this City Council, the request for zone change classification is in con-
f ormance with the General Plan; there is a public need for the change in zone;
and the public need can best be served by changing the classification of the
property;
NOW, THEREFORE,
Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the
specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department staff notes
of October 19, 1952, and the Planning Cor~mission minutes of October 19, 1952,
for the reasons set forth therein, and
THE CITY OF El1GENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. As provided by Section 9.278 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the
zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes are hereby
amended to ref 1 ect the f o 11 owi ng change of zone :
Tax Lot 1202-~-Assessor`s Map 17-04-35-0 D as mare particularly described
on the attached Exhibit A, located on the northwest corner of West 11th
Avenue and Seneca Road;
Change of zone from M-2 Light Industrial District to C-ZISR Comr~unity
Commerci a1 District with Site Review procedures.
Section 2. The Planning Director is hereby authorized and directed
to cause the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes
attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to show the foregoing
change of classification of area and to note thereon the rule with respect
to building in the appropriate classification.
