RECITALS.
The City Council of the City of Eugene did by Resolution No. ~3~4 _, adopted ~ct~er 14,
lg~_, determine to pave streets on 2nd Avenue from Monroe Street to Southern Paci fi c
Railroad tracks and paving Adams Street from 1st Avenue to 2nd Avenue
The City Council authorized the execution of a contract for the construction of the local
improvements on , lg~;
The local improvements have been constructed in accordance with the contract and applicable
provisions of the Eugene City Cade and the cost thereof and amount to be assessed have been ascertained to be:

The City Counci] has established the method af~calcu~ating local

improvement assessments in Sections 1.110 through 1.~~80 of the Eugene City
Code; and
Notice of the proposed assessr~ent to the owners and reputed owners
of the hereinafter designated parcels of real property has been heretofore duly
and regularly given in compliance with the provisions of Chapter 1 of the
Eugene City Cade, and the City Council has heard any and all protests,
objections and remonstrances thereto and has fully considered them.

Section 1. That the total cost of paving an 2nd Avenue from Monroe
Street to Southern Pacific Railroad tracks and paving Adams Street from 1st Avenue
to 2nd Avenue
in the City of Eugene, is the sum of ~ 110,59~a.61 , aforesaid, which
is by this ordinance assessed against the parcels of property hereinafter
described in the amounts set opposite, respectively.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Eugene, Oregon,
does hereby determine and assess each Sot and part of lot being in Eugene,

Section 3. That the City Council of the Cit~~of Eugene does

hereby determine that each parcel of land ar lot hereinbefore described
is specifically benefitted to the extent of the assessment hereinbefare
' .• set forth, and does hereby declare each and all of said assessments to
be liens upon the respective lots, parts of lots ar arcels of land

against which said several amounts are assessed, and orders and directs the
~~'~nance Officer ~~ta enter in the docket of City Liens, a statement thereof
containing the following:

Second: The name of the owner ar reputed owner thereof, or that
the name of the owner is unknown.

Section 4. That these provisions concern the public welfare
because of the necessity to promptly retard and ascertain the amount of ~~
each assessment and the lien arising therefrom, and the need to pram tl
