AN ORDINANCE LEVYING ASSES5MENT5 FOR paving, sanitary sewer and storm sewer on
~l~i 11 agi 11 espi e Road from Country Club Road to 300 feet south of C1 i nton Avenue
in the City of Eugene, Lane County, Oregon.
RECITALS:
` The City Council of the City of Eugene did by Resolution No. 3643 , adopted January 26

Road from Country Club Road to 300 feet south of Clinton Avenue
The City Council authorized the execution of a contract for the construction of the lgcal improvements
on dune 14 , 19 ~82 ; .
The estimated cost thereof is ascertained, and the amount to be assessed in accordance with applicable
provisions of the Eugene City Cade has been determined to be:

The City Council has established the method off,calculating local
...::
improvement assessments in Sections 7.17o through 7;~8C of the Eugene City
Code; and
Notice of the proposed assessment to the owners and reputed owners
of the hereinafter designated parcels of real property has been heretofore duly
and regularly given in compliance with the provisions of Chapter 7 of the
Eugene City Code, and the City Council has heard any and all protests,
ob,~ections and remonstrances thereto and has fully considered them.
THE CITY OF EIJGEP~E DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS : ..
Section 1. That the ~sti;mate.~~ cost a~ paving, sanitary sewer and
storm sewer an Willagillespie Road from Country Club Road to 30g feet south of
Clinton Avenue
in the City of Eugene, is the sum of ~ 7.07129._84 , aforesaid, which
is by this ordinance assessed against the parcels of property hereinafter
described in the amounts..set apposite, respectively,
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Eugene, oregan,
does hereby determine and assess each lot and part of lot being in Eugene,
Lane County, Oregon, to-wit:

Section 3. That the City Council of the ~ity'of Fugene does
hereby determine that each parcel of land or lot hereinbefore described
is specifically benefitted to the extent of the assessment hereinbefore
set forth, and does hereby declare each and all of said assessments to

be liens upon the respective lots, parts of lots or parcels of land
against which said several amounts are assessed, and orders and directs
the Finance Office to enter in the docket of City liens, a statement thereof
containing the following:
First: A description of each lot, part of lot or acreage properly
liable for such improvement.
Second: The name of the owner or reputed owner thereof, or that
the name of the owner is unknown.
Third: The sum assessed upon said property and the date of entering
the same in~the said docket of City biens.
Section 4. That these provisions concern the public welfare
because of the necessity to promptly retard and ascertain the amount of
each assessment and the lien arising therefrom, and, the need to promptly
notify affected property owners, and therefore an emergency is hereby
declared to exist, and this ordinance shall become effective immediately ,
upon its passage by the Council and approval by the Mayor.
