AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING CHARGES FOR OFF-STREET
PARKING; AMENDING SECTTQN 5.,2.85 of THE EUGENE
CODE, 1971; AND DECLARING AN EMEH,GENCY.
THE CITY OF EUGENE DGES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Subsection ~5~ of Section 5.285 of the Eugene Code,
1971, is hereby amended to read and provide:
5.285 Charges for Off-Street Parkin
~5} Except for the airport as defined in section 2.415
of this cads, the following minimum and maximum charges are
hereby established for ofd-street parking facilities to be
effective January lst of the year designated unless otherwise
expressly provided. The charges for a specific facility or
part thereof to be established by administrative action of the
city manager except he may not establish the charges for park-
ing facilities within the Downtown Development District without
first receiving the recommendation of the Downtown Commission.

Section 2. That the matters contained herein concern the public
welfare and safety and therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to

its passage by the City Council and approval, by the Mayor..
