AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND
AMENDING THE ZONING MAP CF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON
THE CITY~COUNCIL OF THE CITY CF EUGENE FINDS THAT:
Pursuant to the provisions of CRS 221.215 and Sections $.813, 9.218, and
9.fifi$ through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1911, the City Council has the authority
and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change:
the zoning classification of property within the City of Eugene;
. Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials. trans-
m~tted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and
this City Council, the request for zone change classification is in conformance
with the General Plan; there is a public need for the than a in zone; and the

public need can best be served by changing the class~f~cation of~the property;
NOW, THEREFORE,
Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the
specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department staff notes
of September 21, 1982, and Planning .Commission minutes of September 21, 1982,
far the reasons set forth therein, and
THE CITY CF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. As provided by Sections 8.625 and 9.28 of the Eugene Code,
1911, the zo~~ng map, the sign district map, and the zoning ordinance schedule
of d~str~ct changes and the sign code schedule of district changes are hereby
amended to reflect the following change of zone and sign district:
Tax Lot 2aC_..Assessor's Map 17-04-15, as more particularly described on
the attached Exhibit A, located vn the east side of Prairie Road south of
Beltline:
Change of zone from County M-3 Heavy Industrial District to City of
Eugene I-2 Li ght~h~edi um InUustri al District and app] i cati on of the --
City Industrial Sign District.
Section 2. The zoning designations provided for herein shall
become effective upon entry of a Final Order of the Lane County Boundary
Commission annexing territory described~in Exhibit "A" attached hereto.

Section 3. The Punning Director is hereby authorized and directed ,
to cause the zoning map, the sign district map, the schedule of sign district
classification changes attached to Chapter 8, and the zoning ordinance schedule
of district changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to show the
foregoing change of classification of area and to note thereon the rule with
respect to building in the appropriate classification.
