RECITALS:
The City Council of the City of Eugene did by Resolution No. 3500 ,adopted _ January 26 ..__
t~ 21, determine to pave streets, construct si dewa1 ks and storm sewer on Goodpasture Island
Road from Delta ~ai~!hway to Tabor Street
The City Council authorized the execution of a contract far the construction of the local
improvements on June 2 , 14.81-.;
• The local improvements have been constructed in accordance with the contract and applicable
provisions of i;he Eugene City Code and the cost thereof and amount to be assessed have been ascertained to be:

. The City Council has established the method of}ca]culating local
improvement assessments in Sections 7.170 through 1.180 of the Eugene City
Cade; and
Notice of the proposed assessment to the owners and reputed owners
of the hereinafter designated parcels of real property has been heretofore duly
and regularly given in compliance with the provisions of Chapter 7 of the
Eugene City Code, and the Gity Council has heard any and all protests,
objections and remonstrances thereto and has fully considered them.
THE CITY 0~' E~1GEP~E DOES- ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS
Section 1. That the total cost of paving, sidewalk and storm sewer
on Goodpasture~Island Raad from Delta Highway to Tabor Street
in the City of Eugene, is the sum of ~ X32,100.68 , aforesaid, which
is by this ordinance assessed against the parcels of property hereinafter
described~in the amounts set opposite, respectively.
Section 2..That the City Council of the City of Eugene, Oregon,
does hereby determine and assess each lot and part of lot being in Eugene,
Lane County, Oregon, to-wit;

Section 3. That the City Council of the City of Eugene does
hereby determine that each parcel of land or lot hereinbefare described
is specifically benefitted to the extent of the assessment her?inbefore
set forth, and does hereby declare each and all of said assessments to
be liens upon the respective lots, parts of lots or parcels of land
against which said several amounts are assessed, and orders and directs
the City Recorder to enter in the docket of City Liens, a statement thereof
containing the fallowing:
First: A descript~an of each iot, part of lot or acreage properly
liable far such improvement,
Second: The name of the owner or reputed owner thereof, or that
the name of the owner i s unknown.
Third: The sum assessed upon said property and the date of entering
the same in the said docket of City Liens.
Section 4. That these provisions concern the public welfare
,because of the necessity to promptly record and ascertain the amount of
each assessment and the lien arising therefrom, and the need to promptly
notify affected property owners .
