G' AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 9.218 and 9.668 through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority and respansi bi ] i ty, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change the zoning classification of property within the City of Eugene; Based upon the report of the Pi anni ng Commission, the materials trans- mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Comm~ssivn and this City Counci 1, the request for zone change classification i s i n con- formance with the General P1 an; there i s a publ i c need for the change i n zone; and the public need can best be served by changing the classification of the property; Now, THEREFORE, Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the specific affirmative findings contained i n the Planning Department staff notes of December 14, 1982, and the P1 anni ng Commission minutes of December 14, 1982, for the reasons set forth therein, and THE CITY OF EUGENE DQES ORDAIN AS FOLLOI~S: Section 1. As provided by Section 9.278 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes are hereby amended to reflect the following change of zone: Tax Lots 201, 202, 3201, and a porti on of 200 and 3204-Assessor's Map 17-04-34, as more particularly described on the attached Exhibit "A" , located on the east side of Bertelsen Road, south of 1st Avenge: Change of zone from I-~2 Light-Medium Industrial District to I-2/SR Li ht- 9 Med~ um Industry al D~ str~ ct w~ th S~ to Review procedures for Tax Lots 201, 202, and 3201~~Assessor' s Map 17-04-34; and from I-1 Special Industrial District to I-IISR Special Industrial District with Site Review procedures for a porn on of Tax Lots 200 and 3240--Assessor's Map 17w04-34, sal d site review procedures addressing concerns as set forth in Exhibit "B", attached Section 2.
