AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE AND SIGN DISTRICT
CLASS ~ f I CAT I ON AND AMEND I ~iG THE 70N I~IG MAP AND SIGN
DISTRICT MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT:
Pursuant to the pravi si ons of ORS 227.215 and Sections 8.813, 9.218, and
9.668 through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority
and responsi bi ~ i ty, :subject to the ~ imi tati ons contained therein, to change the
zoning and sign district classification of property within the City of Eugene;
Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans-
mi tted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Cor~ni ssi on and
this City Counci l , the request for zone change and sign district change of
classification i s i n conformance with the .General Plan; there i s a publ i s need
for the change in zone; and the public geed can best be served by changing the
classification of the property;

Based upon the foregai n,g, the City Counci 1 hereby adopts as its own
the specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department staff
notes of December Z1, 1982, and January 18, 1983, and the Pi anni ng Commission
minutes of December 21, 1982, and January 1S, 1983, for the reasons set
forth therein, and
THE CITY of EDGEN E DOES ORDAIN AS FflLLO~S
Section 1. As provided by Sections 9.278 and 5.625 of the Eugene Code,
1911, the zoning map, the sign district map, and the zoning ordinance schedul e
of district changes and the sign code schedule of district changes are hereby
amended to reflect the fol 1 owi ng change of zone and sign district:
a portion of tax lots 304 and 1U1--Assessor's Map 17rtfl3~15 as mare parti-
cul arty described on the attached Exhibit A, located east of Coburg Road
between the extensions of Chad Street and Crescent Avenue.
Change i n zone from C-21SR Community Commercial District with Site Review
Suffix to I-1 Special Industrial District, and a Change of Sign District
from Integrated Commercial Sign District to I ndu$tri al Sign District.
