AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR WITHDRAWING FROM THE
~~ JUNCTION CITY WATER CONTROL DISTRICT OF LANE COUNTY,
OREGON, THAT PART OF THE DISTRICT ANNExED TO THE
CITY OF EUGENE BY FINAL ORDER NO. 777 OF THE LANE
COUNTY LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOUNDARY COMMISSION ON
February 4, 1982, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
The City Council of the City of Eugene by Resolution No. 375
adopted May 19, 1982, proposed withdrawal from the Junction City
Water Control District of that part of the District annexed to the
City on February 4, 1982 by Final Order No. 777 of the Lane County
Local Government Boundary Commission, as hereinafter described.
The Resolution set June 9, 1982 at 12:4 o'clock noon, Pacific
Daylight Time, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, in Eugene, Oregon,
as the time and place for hearing objections to the withdrawal, and
directed that notice of the time and place of the hearing be pub-
lisped once each week for two consecutive weeks prior to the hearing
and be posted in four public places in the City for the same period.
The Notice has been sa published in the Eugene Register Guard
and posted in four public places in the City, to-wit: On the bulle-
tin board at the City Hall in the City of Eugene, Oregon; on the
bulletin board located an the east side of Oak Street where Oak and
Park Streets intersect; on the bulletin board on the northwest cor-
ner of the intersection of 8th Avenue and Oak Street; and on the
bulletin board in the first floor lobby of the Lane County Court-
house, all in the City of Eugene, Lane County, Oregon.
The City desires to assume liability of the District propor-
tionate to the part of the District that has been annexed to the
City.

At the public hearing held on June 9, 1952, no party objected
to the withdrawal of the annexed territory from the District, and
the Council determined that it was in the best interest of the City
that the territory be withdrawn. However, the proper Grdinance was
not adopted by the Council an that date, and adoption of this Ordi-
nance is necessary to correct the action taken at the hearing.
NOS, THEREFaRE,
THE CITY of EUGENE DQES ORDAIN AS FO~LDWS:
Section 1. The territory in Lane County, Oregon, annexed to
the City of Eugene on February 4, 1952, as bounded and described as
follows, is hereby withdrawn from the Junction City Water Control
DLStrict:
As described on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference Great Western
Steel Fabricators, Inc. ~ A/Z 81-~4~
Section ~. The matters contained herein concern the public
welfare and, therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist,
and this ordinance shall became effective immediately upon its
passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
