ORDINANCE N0.
AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND
AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT:
Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 9,278 and 9.668
through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1911, the City Council has the authority
and responsi bi 1 i ty, subject to the 1 imi tati ons contained therein, to change
the zoning c1 assi f i cati on of property within the City of Eugene;
Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans-
mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission
and this City Council , the request for zone change classification i s i n con-
formance with the General Plan; there is a public need for the change in zone;
and the public need can best be served by changing the cl assi f i cati on of the
property;
NOW, THEREFORE,
Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the
specific affirmative findings contained i n the P1 anni ng Department staf f notes
of February 1, 1983, and the Planning Commission minutes of February 1,
1983, for the reasons set forth therein, and
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. As pravi ded by Section 9.278 of the Eugene Code, 1911, the
zoning map an the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes are hereby
amended to reflect the fal 1 awl ng change of zone:
Tax lots 200 eastern 750 feet, more or less, 1100, and 1200--Assessor's
Map 18-0303 as more particularly described on the Attached Exhibit A,
located generally east of Laurel Hi 1 l Drive, south of G1 enwood Drive.
Change of Zone from County AGT Agricultural Grazing and Timber Raising
District to City C-21SR Community Commercial District with Site Review
Procedures and application of Outlying Commercial Sign District.
Section 2. The Planning Director is hereby authorized and directed
to cause the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes
attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to show the foregoing

change of classification of area and to note thereon the rule with respect
to building i n the appropriate classification.
