ORDINANCE N0. - i~~~.~
AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND
AMENDING THE zONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT;
Pursuant to the provisions of CRS 227.215 and Sections 8.813, 9.278, and
9.668 through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1911, the City Council has the authority
and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change
the zoning classification of property within the City of Eugene;
Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans-
mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and
this City Counci 1, the request for zone change classification i s i n conformance
with the General Plan; there is a public need for the change in zone; and the
public need can best be served by changing the classification of the property;
NOW, THEREFORE,
Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own
the specific affirmative findings contained i n the P1 anni ng Department staf f
notes of February 1, 1983 and P1 anni ng Commission minutes of February 1, 1983
for the reasons set forth therein, and
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS;
Secti an 1. As provided by Sections 8.625 and 9.278 of the Eugene Code,
1911, the zone ng map, the sign district map, and the zoning ordinance schedul e
of district changes and the sign code schedule of district changes are hereby
amended to reflect the following change of zone and sign district:
Tax Lot 103--Assessor's Map 15-03-03, as more particularly described
on the attached Exhibit "A" , l acated genera1l y east of Laurel H i 11
Drive, south of G1 enwaod Drive.
Change of zone from County RA Suburban Residential District to City
RA Suburban Residential District.

Section 2. The zoning designations provided for herein shal 1
become effective upon entry of a Final Order of the Lane County Boundary
Commission annexing territory described i n Exhibit "A" attached hereto .
Section 3. The Planning Director is hereby authorized and directed
to cause the zoning map, the sign district` map, the schedule of sign district
classification changes attached to Chapter S, and the zoning ordinance schedule
of district changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to show the
foregoing change of classification of area and to note thereon the rule with
respect to building in the appropriate classification,
