AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR WITHDRAWING FRAM THE
JUNCTION CITY WATER CONTROL DISTRICT OF LANE COUNTY,
OREGON, THAT PART OF THE DISTRICT ANNExED TO THE
CITY of EUGENE BY FINAL ORDER NO. 790 OF THE LANE
COUNTY LOCAL GQVERNMENT $oUNDARY COMMISSION ON
February 3, 19$3; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
The City Council of the City of Eugene by Resolution No. 3754
adapted March 2, 1983, proposed withdrawal from the Junction Cit
Y
Water Control District of that part of the District annexed to the
City on February 3, 1983, by Final Order Na. 790 of the Lane County
Local Government Boundary Commission, as hereinafter described.
The Resolution set March 16, 1983 at 12:00 o'clock noon, Pacific
Standard Time, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, in Eugene, Oregon,
as the time and place for hearing objections to the withdrawal, and
directed that notice of the time and place of the hearing be pub-
lished once each week for two consecutive weeks prior to the hearin
g
and be posted in four public places in the City far the same period.
The Notice has been so published in the Eugene Register Guard
and posted in four public places in the City, to-wit: On the bulle-
tin board at the City Hall in the City of Eugene, Oregon; on the
bulletin board located on the east side of Oak Street where Oak and
Park Streets intersect; on the bulletin board on the northwest cor-
ner of the intersection of Sth Avenue and Oak Street; and on the
bulletin board in the first floor lobby of the Lane Count Court
Y
house, all in the City of Eugene, Lane County, Oregon.
The City desires to assume liability of the District propor-
tionate to the part of the District that has been annexed to the
City.

No party has objected to the withdra~ral of the annexed terri-
tory from the District, and it is in the best interest of the City
that the territory be withdrawn.
NOW, THEREFQRE,
THE CITY of EUGENE DQES ORDAIN A~ FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The territory in Lane County, Oregon, annexed to
the City of Eugene on February 3, 1983, as bounded and described as
follows, is hereby withdrawn from the ~unctian City Water Control
District:

Section 2. The matters contained herein concern the public
welfare and, therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist,
and this Ordinance sha11 become effective immediately upon its
passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
