AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING JUR2SDICTION OVER CERTAIN COUNTY ROADS NOW LOCATED WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, A MUNICIPAL CORPORA- TION OF THE STATE OF OREGON. The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that: The Board of County Commissioners of Lane County, a political subdivision of the State of Oregon, has at the request of the City of Eugene held a hearing an January 6, ~ 982 on the pro- position of releasing jurisdiction to the City of Eugene over certain County roads lying inside the corporate limits of the City of Eugene. The Board of County Commissioners of Lane County, Oregon has determined that it would be in the best interests of Lane County to release jurisdiction to the City of Eugene, and has offered to re- lease jurisdiction over the county roads to the City of Eugene under the provisions of Section 373.270.~of Oregon Revised Statutes. The City Council of the City of Eugene deems it necessary and expedient and in the best interests of the City of Eugene to acquire jurisdiction over certain county roads, or parts thereof, to the same extent as it has over public streets and alleys of the City, the county roads being hereinafter more particularly described. NOW, THEREFQRE, THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Based upon the above findings, the City Council of the City of Eugene, a municipal corporation of the State of Oregon, deems it necessary and expedient and in the best interests of the City to acquire jurisdiction over the following described county Ordinance - 1 193 ~ roads to the same extent as it has over other public streets and alleys of the City of Eugene,. which county roads are more fully des- cribed as follows, to-wit: Cal Yaung Road, County Road No, 259, from Willagillespie Raad to Narken~ie Road. Willagillespie Road, County Road No. 792, from Cal Young Raad to 280 feet south of Clinton Drive. West 18th Avenue, County Road Nv, 228, from 19th Avenue to Hawkins Heights Boulevard. City View Street, County Road No. 227, from West llth Ave- nue to approximately 15th Avenue. West 18th Avenue, County Road No. 227, from west of Quaker Street to Bailey Hill. Road, Bailey Hill Road, County Road No. 227, from l8th Avenue to 550 feet northeast of Zouis Zane. Section 2. The City of Eugene shall have the same control, power and jurisdiction over the above roads and streets as it has aver all other streets and alleys within the City of Eugene.
