HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 19140ORDINANCE N0. 141~i0 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET; MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE CITY OF EUGENE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 1982, AND ENDING JUNE 30, 19$3; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the supplemental budget for the City of Eugene, Oregon, for the.year beginning July 1, 1982, and ending June 3O, 1983, as set forth ~n Section 2 below, is hereby adopted. Section 2. That this supplemental budget is prepared in accordance with ORS 294.480 l a a~ , which authorizes the formulation of a suppl emental bud et 9 resulting from "an occurrence or condition which had not been ascertained at the time of,the preparation of a budget for the current year which re uires a than a ~n f~nanc~al 1 n ' q 9 p a n~ng. Section 4. This ordinance, i n accordance with ORS 294.4$0 ~ 3 ~ , does " ...not authorize any increased levy of taxes," and a ro ri ati ons for thi s pP P supplemental budget shall be funded from prev~ ously uncommi ttee revenue. Section 5. The provisions of this ordinance are necessary for the purpose of protects ng the, publ i c health, safety, and welfare, and therefore an emer enc 9 y ~ s declared to ex~ st, and the s ordinance shall become effects ve immed~ atel u on Y P its passage by the City Counci 1 and approval by the Mayar.
