AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET;
MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE CITY OF EUGENE
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 1983,
AND ENDING JUNE 30, 1984; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY
THE CITY DF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS : .
Section 1. That the supplemental budget for the City of Eugene, Oregon,
for the year beginning July 1, 1983, and ending June 30, 1984, as set .forth
i n Section 2 bel ow, i s hereby adopted .
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Eugene, Oregon, dues
hereby make the separate appropriation for each purpose, as detai 1 ed and i tem-
ized herein, pursuant to the provisions and in the manner provided by law as
follows

Section 3. That this supplemental budget is prepared in accordance with
ORS 29 . a a~ , which authorizes .the formul ativn of a suppl emental budget
resulting from ~ "an occurrence or condition which had not been ascertained at
the time of the preparation of a budget for the current year which requires a
change in financial planning."
Section 4. This ordinance, i n accordance with ORS 294.480 3~ , does -
" ...not authorize any increased. levy of taxes," and appropriations for thi s
supplemental budget shall be funded from previously uncommi ttee revenue.
Section 5. The provisions of this ordi Hance are necessary for the purpose
of protects ng the public health, safety, and welfare, and therefore an emergency
i s declared to exist, and this ordinance shall beca~e effective immediately upon
its passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
