AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET;
MAfSING APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE CITY OF EUGENE
,- FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 19$3,
AND ENDING JUNE 30, 19$4; AND DECLARI NG AN
EMERGENCY
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLO~~S:
Section 1. That the supp~ ementa~ budget for the Ci ty of Eugene, Oregon,
for the year beginning J u1 y 1, 1983., and ending June 30, 1984, as set forth
i n Section 2 bei ow, i s hereby adopted. .
Section 2. That the City Counci ~ of the City of Eu gene, Oregon, does
hereby make the separate appropriation for each purpose, as detai 1 ed a nd i tem-
ized herein , pursuant to the prove si ons and i n the manner provided by ~ aw as

Section 3. That this supplemental budget i s prepared i n accordance with
ORS 29 , ~ a ay , which authorizes the formulation of a suppl emental budget
resulting from "an occurrence or condi ti an which had not been ascertained at
the time of the preparation of a budget for the current year which requires a
change ~n fi nanc~ al pl ann~ng."
Section 4. This ordinance, i n accordance with ORS 294.480 ~ 3~ , doe s
" ...not authorize any increased levy of taxes," and appropriations for thi s
supplemental budget shall be funded from previously uncommi ttee revenue.
Section ~ 5. The pravi sions of this ordinance are necessary for the purpose
of protects ng t e ,public hea] th, safety, and welfare, and therefore an emergenc
