AN ORDINANCE PROVIDzNG FOR WITHDRAWING FROM THE
SANTA CLARA WATER DISTRICT OF LANE COUNTY, OREGON
THAT PART OF THE DISTRICT ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF r
EUGENE BY FINAL ORDER N0, 797 OF THE LANE COUNTY
LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOUNDARY COMMISSION ON JUNE 2
1983; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. ~
The City Council of the City of Eugene by Resolution No.
3512
adapted November 9, 1983, proposed withdrawal from the Sa
nta Clara
Water District of that part of the District annexed to the `
City on
June 2, 1983 by Final Order No. 797 of the Lane Count Local
Y Govern-
ment Boundary Commission, as hereinafter described,
The Resolution set December 14, 1983 at 1,40 o'clock noo

Pacific Standard Time, in the Council Chambers, Cit Hall '
Y In Eugene,
Oregon, as the time and place for hearing objections to the '

drawal, and directed that notice of the time and lace of -

ing be published once each week for two consecutive we '

the hearing and be posted in four public places in the Ci
ty for the
same period,
The Notice has been so published in the Eugene Re ister Guar

and posted in four public places in the City.
The City desires to assume liability of the District ro or-

donate to the part of the District that has been annexed
to the
City.
No party has objected to the withdrawal of the annexed terri-
tory from the District, and it is in the best interest of
the City that the territory be withdrawn.
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS;

Section 1. The territory in bane County, Oregon, annexed to
