AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FpR WITHDRAWING FRAM THE
RIVER ROAD WATER DISTRICT of LANE COUNTY, OREGON,
THAT PART of THE DISTRICT ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF
EUGENE BY FINAL ORDER No. 798 of THE LANE COUNTY
LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOUNDARY CQMMISSION ON JUNE 2,
1983; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
The City Council of the City of Eugene by Resolution No. 3813
adopted November 9, 1953, proposed withdrawal from the River Road
Water District of that part of the District annexed to the City on
June 2, 1983 by Final order No. 79S of the Lane County Local Govern-
ment Boundary Commission, as hereinafter described.
The Resolution set December 14, 1983 at 12,OQ o'clock noon,
Pacific Standard Time, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, in Eugene,
Oregon, as the time and place for hearing objections to the with-
drawal, and directed that notice of the time and place of the hear-
ing be published once each week far two consecutive weeks prior to
the hearing and be posted in four public places in the City for the
same period.
The Native has been so published in the Eugene Register Guard
and pasted in four public places in the City.
The City desires to assume liability of the District propor-
donate to the part of the District that has been annexed to the
City.
No party has objected to the withdrawal of the annexed terri-
tort' from the District, and it is in the best interest of the City
that the territory be withdrawn.
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY QF EUGENE DQES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. The territory in Lane County, Oregan, annexed. to
the City of Eugene on Tune 2, 1953, as bounded and described as
follows, is hereby withdrawn from the River Road water District:
As described on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference City of Eugene/

Section 2. The matters contained herein concern the public
welfare and, therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist,
and this Ordinance sha11 become effective immediately upon its
passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
