AN GRDINANCE PRpvIDzNG FOR WITHDRAWING FROM THE
SANTA CLARA WATER DISTRICT OF LANE COUNTY, OREGON,
THAT PART OF THE DISTRICT ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF
EUGENE HY FINAL ORDER NO. 8DG OF THE LANE COUNTY
LQCAL GOVERNMENT BOUNDARY COMMISSION 4N October 6~
l9$3; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
The City Council of the City of Eugene by Resolution No. 3515
adopted November 9, 1983, proposed withdrawal from the Santa Clara
Water District of that part of the District annexed to the City on
October 6, 1983 by Final Order No. 806 of the Lane County Local Gov-
ernment Boundary Commission, as hereinafter described.
The Re-solution set December 14, 19$3 at 12:D0 o'clock noon,
Pacific Standard Time, in the Council, Chambers, City Hall, in Eugene,
Oregon, as the time and place far hearing objections to the with-
drawal, and directed that notice of the time and place of the hear-
ing be published once each week for two consecutive weeks prior to
the hearing and be posted in four public places in the City for the
same period.
The Notice has been so published in the Eugene Register Guard
and posted in four public places in the City.
The City desires to assume liability of the District prapor-
tionate to the part of the District that has been annexed to the
City..
No party has objected to the withdrawal. of the annexed terri-
tory from the District, and it is in the best interest of the City
that the territory be withdrawn.
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. The territory in Lane County, Oregon, annexed to
the City of Eugene on october 6, 1953, as bounded and described as.
follows, is hereby withdrawn from the Santa Clara Water District:
As described on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference Hutchinson,
et al A/Z 53- 6 } .
Section 2. The matters contained herein concern the public
welfare and, thereforer an emergency is hereby declared to exist,
and this Ordinance shall became effective immediately upon its
passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
