AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING THE LIBRARY BOARD; AMEND-
ING SECTIONS 2.013 AND 2.293 OF THE EUGENE CODE,
1971; AND DECZARING AN EMERGENCY.
THE CITY of EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The table of boards, commissions and committees
set forth in subsection ~1} of Section 2.013 of the Eugene Code,
1971, is hereby amended by changing the designation of the number
of members on the Library Board set forth therein from 5 to 7.
Section 2. Subsection ~.2} of Section 2.293 of the Eugene Code,
1971, is hereby amended to read and provide:
2.293 Librar -Board _ Establishment, Membershi Procedure.
~2} The board consists of seven members nominated by
the mayor and appointed by the council,.
Section 3. That the provisions contained herein cancer the
public welfare, and in order to insure the orderly implementation
of increasing the membership on the Library Board, an emergency is
hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall became effective
immediately upon its passage by the City Council and approval by
the Mayor.
