AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING APPQZNTMENT pRpCESS~S FoR
CITY BQARDS, COMMISSIONS AND CQMMITTEES; AMENDING
SEGTIQN 2.013 0~ THE EUGENE CODE, 1971; AND DE-~
GLARING AN EMERGENCY.
THE CITY of EUGENE DQES ORDAIN AS ~'oLLOwS:
Section 1. Subparagraph ~c} of Subsection ~G} of Section
2.013 of the Eugene Code, 19?l, is hereby amended to read and ro~

~:~.G} Appointments which more appropriately should
be delegated to a committee on boards, commissions and
committees composed of [~h~ee~ councilors appointed by
the mayor, which is charged with the duty of reviewing
the appropriate c.~tizen interest forms and making formal
nominations or recommendations for the counciirs con-
sideration.
Section 2. That the matters contained herein concern the public
welfare, and in order to assure the orderly implementation of the
procedural change provided for herein, an emergency is hereby de-
clared to exist, and this ordinance shall become effective immedi~
ately upon its passage by the City Council and approval by the
Mayor.
