CITY QF EUGENE, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE STATE of gREGON BE TRANSFERRED To THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON. The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that: The City Council deems it necessary and expedient and in the best interests of the City to acquire jurisdiction over certain county roads, ar parts thereof, lying inside the corporate limits of the City of Eugene, to the same extent as it has over public streets and alleys of the City. Under the provisions of Section 373.270 of Oregon Revised Statutes, the Baard of County Commissioners of Lane County, Oregon has the authority to release jurisdiction over the county roads within the limits of the City of Eugene, and should be requested to da s o . NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS; Section 1. Based upon the above findings, which are incorpor-~ ated herein by reference, the City Council of the Gity of Eugene, a Municipal Corporation of the State of aregon, deems it necessary and expedient and in the best interests of the City to acquire jur- isdiction aver the following described County Roads located within the City, to the same extent as it has over other public streets and alleys of the City, which County Roads are more fully describ- ed as follows; Ordinance - 1 i9zi 8 Norkenzie, from Holly Avenue north to the city limits. Crescent Avenue from Gilham Road to Coburg Road. Willagillespie Road from 2S0 feet south of Clinton Drive south to Country Club Road. Country Club Road from the I-145 off-ramp to Willagillespie Road. Bailey Hill Road from Four Oaks Grange Road to Bertelsen. Coburg Road from the end of the existing city portion at a paint approximately between East Jeppesen Acres Road and Atkins Street to city limits 160 feet north of Crescent Avenue, including the traffic signals at Beltline/Coburg Road. Gaodpasture Island Road from Tabor Street to Happy Lane. Fox Hollow Road from 47th Avenue to Larkwood Lane. South Willamette Street from 44th Avenue to 190 feet south of Spencer Crest Drive. Section 2.. The City Council directs that a copy of this Ordi- nonce be forwarded to the Board of County Commissioners of Lane County, Oregon, which Board is hereby requested to release juris- diction of the above described roads or portions of road to the City of Eugene in accordance with the provisions of Section 373.~7a of Oregon Revised Statutes. Section 3. Upon the receipt by the City Manager of the City of Eugene of a certified copy of an order of the Board of County Commissioners of Lane County, Oregon releasing jurisdiction of the above described roads or portions of roads to the City of Eugene, the City shall have the same control, power and jurisdiction over the roads and streets as it has over all other streets and alleys within the City of Eugene.
