COMMISSION ON OCTOBER
EMERGENCY.
The City Council of the City of Eugene by Resolution No. 3832
adopted February 22, 1984, proposed withdrawal from the River
Road Water District of the part of that District annexed to the
City on October 6, 1983 by Final Order No. 805 of the. Lane County
Local Government Boundary Commission, as hereinafter described.
The Resolution set March l4, 1,984 at 12:00 o'clock noon,
Pacific Standard Time, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, in Eugene,
Oregon, as the time and place for hearing objections to the with-
drawal, and directed that notice of the time and place of the hear-
ing be published once each week for two consecutive weeks prior to
the hearing and be posted in four public places in the City for the
same period.
The Notice has been so published in the Eugene Register Guard
and posted in four public p~,aces within the City of Eugene, Lane
County, Oregon.
The City desires to assume liability of the District propor-
tionate to the part of the District that has been annexed to the
City.
No party has objected to the withdrawal of the annexed terri-
tory from the District, and it is in the best interest of the City
that the territory be withdrawn.

Section 1. The territory in Lane Countyr Oregon, annexed to
the City of Eugene on October 6, 1983, as bounded and described as
fallows~ is hereby withdrawn from the River Road water District:
As described on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference Beall/walker

Section 2, The matters contained herein co~,cern the public
welfare ands therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist,
and this Qrdinance sha~.l become effective immediately upon its
passage by the City Council, and appxo~al by the Mayor.
