AN ORD2NANCE CONCERNING STATE TRAFFIC LAWS;
RE-ENACTING SECTION 5.005 OF THE EUGENE CODE,
19 71; AND DECLARING Ai~T EMERGENCY .
THE CITY GF EUGENE DOES QRDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 5.005 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is hereby
re-enacted:
5.005 State Traffic Laws. It is the policy of the city to
conform its traffic laws as closely as feasible to the
traffic laws of the State of Oregon. ORS 275.420, 486.075,
486.221, and the provisions of ORS Chapters 481, 482, 483,
484, 485 and 48? as now enacted or hereafter amended, are
hereby adopted, and violation thereof shall constitute an
offense against the city.
Section 2. That the matters contained herein concern the
public welfare and safety and therefore, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist, and this Ordinance shall became effective immedi-
ately upon its passage by the City Council and approval by the
Mayor.
