Establishing the Direction of Tramc Flow on Olive Street
Between 8th and 10th Avenues and Directing the Erection of
Signs Therefor.
The City Manager of the City of Eugene finds that:
A. On April 15, 1992, Ordinance No. 19841 was adopted by the Council and
approved by the Mayor which provided in Sections 1 and 2 thereof for the removal of the
restrictions on vehicular traffic on Olive Street within the pedestrian mall.
B. The effectiveness of Ordinance No. 19841 was dependent upon the approval
of a Measure on whether to reopen Olive Street by the electors of the City at an election
held on May 19, 1992. That Measure was passed, and Ordinance No. 19841 became
effective on May 19, 1992.
Now, therefore, based on the above findings, which are adopted herein,
THE CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF EUGENE ORDERS AND DIRECTS
THAT:
1. Olive Street, between 8th and 10th Avenues within the City of Eugene is
hereby designated as open for through traffic traveling in both a northerly and southerly
direction thereon.
2. The City's Traffic Engineer is directed to cause appropriate signs and/or
signals to be installed thereon apprising the public of the directions of traffic flow.
