ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 58-02-22

City of Eugene, Oregon
APPOINTING TERRY J. SCHIELE AS THE CITY'S ACTING
IN CAPACITY CITY SURVEYOR.
The City Manager pro tern of the City of Eugene finds that:
A. Under the provisions of Chapter IV, Section 16 of the Eugene Charter of 1976, the
City Manager is designated as the administrative head of the City, and is specifically authorized to
appoint and remove all employees (except as otherwise provided in the Charter), and to enforce all
ordinances of the City.
B. On April 9, 1990 the City Council adopted Resolution No. 4173 that designated the
City Surveyor to serve in lieu of the County Surveyor in the performance of the County Surveyor
duties set forth in Chapter 92 of the Oregon Revised Statutes.
C. The City's position of City Surveyor is currently vacant due to the retirement of Joe
Ferguson, and Terry J. Schiele should be appointed as the City's Acting in Capacity (AIC) City
Surveyor.
NOW, THEREFORE,
The City Manager pro tern of the City of Eugene orders and directs that:
1. Based on the above findings, which are hereby adopted, Terry J. Schiele is hereby
appointed as the City's Acting in Capacity City Surveyor.
2. The City Recorder is requested to forward copies of this Order to Terry J. Schiele,
City Surveyor (AIC) and to the Lane County Surveyor.
