HomeMy WebLinkAboutAdmin Order 53-93-18 ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. r)'~ .-q~1 ~ 1 ~ of the City Manager of the City of Eugene ESTABLISHING SOCIAL GAMBLING FEES The City Manager of the City of Eugene finds as follows: A. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.020 of the Eugene Code, 1971 which authorizes the City Manager to determine and set fees and charges to be imposed by the City for services, goods, use of municipal property, and licenses and permits, I have previously established fees for processing individual certification applications. B. On July 2, 1993 I notified the Mayor and City Council that I intended to amend portions of the fee schedule as set forth in the Notice of Intended Fees attached as Exhibit A thereto and incorporated therein by reference. The Notice was also posted at two locations at City Hall on June 29, 1993, and made available for inspection by interested persons at the offices of the City's Planning & Development Department, Building & Permit Services Division, 244 East Broadway, Eugene, Oregon 97401. The Notice provided that written comments would be received thereon for a period of 15 days from the date of posting. No written comments were received within the time or in the manner required by the Notice. C. I find that the fees set forth in Exhibit A hereto are consistent with applicable policies and directives of the City Council, including policies developed through the Eugene Decisions process, are comparable to the fees established in other jurisdictions for processing such applications, and are necessary in order to recover the costs of administering the social gambling program from the beneficiaries thereof. D. Establishment of the fees as proposed is in the public interest, and it is necessary for the FY94 budget that the fees be implemented as soon as possible. On the basis of these findings, I order that: 1. The fees as set forth in Exlubit A hereto are hereby established as the fees to be charged for processing social gambling dealer/owner applications and certifications as set forth therein. 2. Any prior orders in conflict herewith are repealed as of the effective date of this order. Dated and etTective this 28 day of July, 1993. }" .
