ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER
City of Eugene, Oregon
53-99-01
Under section 16(2) of the Eugene Charter, the City Manager is given authority to make
purchases and act as a business agent for the City Council in connection with the sale of real
estate and other business and commercial transactions. The City Manager previously delegated
portions of this authority to the various city department Executive Managers or their designees.
It is the intention of the City to:
A. Provide for uniform and consistent processing of contracts.
B. Minimize the time and attention required of the City Manager for routine
contracts.
C. Clearly define areas of responsibility with regard to initiation, execution and
administration of contracts.
Based on the above, the Executive Manager of the Planning & Development Department orders
that:
1. The following designees have contract authority as noted:

Cathy Briner $25.000
Lew Bowers $10.000
Marsha Miller $10.000
J an Childs $10.000
2. The signing and dating of this Administrative Order replaces the Administrative
Order signed by the Co-Executive Managers of this department on April 16, 1998.
