ORDINANCE N0.
AN ORDNANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASS~F~CAT~DN AND
AMENDING THE zON~NG~MAP OF~THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FENDS THAT:
Pursuant to the provisions of ORS X27.215, Section 8~.$l3, 9.278 and
9.658 through 9.684 of the Eugene Cvde,~l971, the City Council has the
authors ty and responsibility, subject to the limitations .contained therein ,
to change the rani ng ~ and sign district classification of property ~wi thi n
the City of Eugene;
Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials
transmitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning
Commi ssi an and this Counci I , the request for zone change and ~si gn district
change of classification i s i n conformance with the General P~ an; there i s
a public need for the change in zone; and the public need can best be
served by changing the .classification of the property;
NOW, THEREFORE,
Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own
the specific offi rmati ve findings contained i n the Planning Department
Staff Ncte~s of .January 6, l 98l , and Pl anni rg Commi ssi~on minutes of January 6,
1981, for 4;e reasons set forth therein, and

Section 1. As provided by Section 9.278 and 8.625 of the Eugene Cade,
l 97l , the zoning map, the sign district map, and the zoning ordinance
schedule of district changes and the sign code schedule of district changes
are hereby amended to reflect the following change of zone and sign district:

1500, 1700 1900, 3200, 3300~~~Assessor's Map 1804--032, as more
particularly described an the attached Exhibit A, located
within the area bounded by~West l8th Avenue, Bertelsen Raad,
Bailey Hill Road, and Four Daks Grange Road
Change of zone from County RA Suburban Residential District to City
of Eugene RA Suburban Residential District, and application of
City Resi denti a~l Sign District. .

Section 2. .That the zoning designations provided for herein shall .
become effective upon entry of a Final Order of the Lane County Boundary `~
Commi ssi an annexing territory described i n Exhibit"A" attached hereto.

Section 3. The Planning Director be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to cause the zoning reap, the sign district map, the schedule of
sign district classification changes attached to Chapter 8, and the zoning
ordinance schedule of district changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene
Code, 1971, to show the foregoing change of c1 assi fi cati on of area and
to note there. on the rule with respect to building in .the appropriate
classification.
