AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING WORK SAFETY PROCEDURES
IN PUBLIC RIGHTS-OF-wAY; AMENDING SECTION 7.1D0
OF THE EUGENE CODE, 1971; AND DECLARING AN EMER-
GENCY.
THE CITY CF EUGENE DOES ORDAI.~ AS FOLLowS:
Section 1. Section 7.140 of the Eugene Code, 1.971, is hereby
amended to read and provide:
7.100 Manual on Traffic Control Devices, Signin etc. For
Const~ucti~on and Maintenance on Streets and Highwa s.
The Manual on Traffic Control Devices, Signing, etc, for Con
struction and Maintenance on Streets and Highways,, April, 1981
Edition, prepared and approved by the City of Eugene Traffic
Engineering Division, Department of Public Works, copies of
which are on file in the Department of Public works, is hereby
adopted in its entirety, and all portions of the Manual on
file in the office of the Department of Public Works are hereby
referred to and adopted and by this reference thereto made a
part of this code, as though fully set out herein.
Section 2. Lt is hereby determined that matters. concerning work
safety procedures in public rights-of~wa~y are matters which affect
the public health, safety and welfare, that an emergency exists, and
therefore, this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its
passage by the City Council and approval, by the Mayor.
