PRQCEDURES ; AMEND T~~G S'ECT ION 2.8 3 5 of THE EUGENE
CODE , 19 71; AN'D L~ECLARIN`G A~` ENlERGEN`CY .
THE CITY of EUGENE DOES ORD~I;~~' AS FQLT~ow~5:
Section 1. Subsection ~3~. of Section 2..835 of the Eugene Coder
19 71 ~.s hereby amended to p~o~ride.:
2.835 Personal Pxopexty Sa7,e ~Proced~u~e~~ -~ Precedin Sale.
~:3~. zf no person appears and establishes his ownership
of or interest~in the property prior to the expiration of six
months after the date that the personal property has come into
the possession of the police departments the city shall sell
the property pursuant to section 2.$40r or upon approval of the
city manager shall transfer the property to public use by enter-
ing it on the city's fixed asset inventory.
Section 2. That the provisions contained herein concern the
public welfare and therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist,
and this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage
by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
