W~~REAS, the Common Council of the City of Eugene did by Resolution No. 9 ~ , adopted by the Gammon Council an the day of ~1~1y 19,~Q~, determine to Construct sanitary sewer and storm sewer 60 feet north of Vernon Way from Calvin Street to Arcadia Street and sidewalk on the west side of Calvin Street from Du11es Street to 400 feet south south, and paving and sanitary sewer in Calvin Street from 60 feet north of vernon Way to 50 feet north of Dd11es Street. in the City of Eugene, Lane County, Oregon; and IYEff.'REAS, the Gammon Council of the City of Eugene did by Section 1.195 of the City Code, determine to assess for Special Sewer Levy fund in the City of Eugene, Lane County, Oregon. THE CITY OF' El1GEP~E QOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the total cost of Sanitary sewer and storm sewer 60 feet north of vernan Way from Calvin Street to Arcadia Street and sidewalk on the west side of Calvin Street from Dulles Street to 400 feet south, and paving and sanitary sewer in Calvin Street from GQ feet north of vernan Way to S0 feet north of Dulles Street. in the City of Eugene, is the sum of ~ 69,~24.~4 , aforesaid, which is by this ordinance assessed against the parcels of property hereinafter described in the amounts set apposite, respectively. Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Eugene does hereby determine that each parcel of land or lot hereinbefare described ~ s speci fi cal ly benefi tted to the extent of the assessment herei nbefore set forth, and does hereby declare each and all of said assessments to be liens upon the respective lots, parts of lots or parcels of land against which said several amounts are assessed, and orders and directs the City Recorder to enter in the docket of City Liens, a statement thereof containing the following: First: A description of each lot, part of lot or acreage properly liable for such improvement. Second: The name of the owner or reputed owner thereof, or that the name of the owner is unknown. Third: The sum assessed upon said property and the date of entering the same in the said docket of City Liens. Section ~. That these provisions concern the public welfare because of the necessity to promptly record and ascertain the amount of each assessment and the lien arising therefrom, and the need to promptly notify affected property owners, and therefore an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this Ordinance sha11 become effective immediately upon its passage by the Council and approval by the Mayor.
