AN ORDINANCE CpNCERNING THE SIGN COpE; AMENDING
SECTION $.674 OF THE EUGENE CODE, 1971; AND DE-
CLARING AN EMERGENCY.
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDALN A5 ~'OLL~WS:
Section 1. Section 8.674 of the Eugene Cade, 1971, is hereby
amended by adding a new subparagraph ~h~ thereto, to read and pro-
vide:

attached to the exteriors of buses operated by a mass
transit district organized under ORS Chapter 267, so
long as the surface area of aZ1 such signs placed upon
a vehicle does not exceed 11,434 square inches, and
the surface area of signs placed upon any one side of
a vehicle does not exceed 4,324 square inches.
Section 2. That the pro~risions contained herein concern the
public welfare and therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to
exist, and this Ordinance shall become effect~,ve immediately upon
its passage by the City Council and approvai by the Mayor.
