ORDINANCE N0.
AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND
AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT:
Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 9.278 and 9.668
through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Counci 1 has the authority
and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change
the zoning classification of property within the City of Eugene;
. Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans-~
muted therew~ th, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission
and this City Council , the request for zone change cl ossification is in con-
formance with the General Plan; there is a publ is need for the change . in zone;
and the public need can best be served by changing the classification of the
property;
NOW, THEREFORE,
Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as ~ its own the
specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department staff notes
of April 13, 1981, and the Planning Commission minutes of March 10, 1981, and
Apr i 1 13, 1981, for the reasons set forth therein, and
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. As pravided.by Section 9.278 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the
zoning map an the ~ zoning ordnance schedule of district changes are hereby
amended to ref 1 ect the fo 11 owi ng change of zone
Tax Lat 4700, Assessor's Map 11-03-30-4 4, as more particularly described
in the attached Exhibit A, located west of Pearl Street and north of the
Th ird-Fourth Connector:
Change of zone from RG Garden Apartment Res i~dent i al District to R-4/SRI
89.3A High-Rise Multiple-Family Residential District with Site Review
procedures and a densi ty 1 imi tat ion of 89.3 dwel 1 i ng units per acre, Site
Review procedures addressing concerns as set forth in Exhibit B, attached.
Section 2. The Planning Director be and i s hereby authorized and
directe o cause the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district
changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to show the foregoing
