AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND
AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY DF EUGENE, OREGON
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT:
Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 9.278 and 9.668
through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the Gity Council has the au~tho rity
and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change
the zonir~ classification of property within the City of Eugene;
Based upon the report of the Pl anni nq Cammi ssi on, the materials trans-
mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Panning Commission
and this City Council, the request for zone change classification is in con-
formance with the General Plan; there i s a publ i c need for the change in zane;
and the public need. can best be served by changing the classification of the
property;
NOW, THEREFORE,
Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the
specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department staff notes
of July 7, 1981, and the Planning Commission minutes of July 7, 1981, for the
reasons set forth therein , and
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. As provided by Section~9.278 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the
zoning map and the zoning ordinance ~sched u 1~e of district changes are hereby
amended to ref 1 ect the following change of zone: .
Tax Lot 4700--Assessor's Map 18-03-06-1 1, as more particularly described
on the attached Exhibit "A", located on the west side of Oak Street,
between East 19th Avenue and 20th Avenue.
Change of zone from R-1 Low-Density Residential District to R-2 Limited
Multi ple-Fami 1y Residenti a1 District.
Section 2. The Planning Director be and i s hereby authorized and directed
to cause the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes
attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1911, to show the foregoing
