HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 18858Z 81-9 Area 1 ORDINANCE N0. `$ $ S$ AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 9.218 and 9.665 through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1911, the City Council has the authroity and responsi bi 1 i ty, subject to the 1 imi tati ons contained therein, to change the zoning c] assi f i cati on of property within the City of Eugene; Based upon the report of the Planning Cammission, the materials transmitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Cammission and this City Counci 1, the request for zone change classification i s i n con- formance with the General Plan; there is a public need for the change in zone; and the public need can best be served by changing the classification of the property; NOW, THEREFORE, Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department staff notes of August 11, 1981 and the Pl anni~ng Commission minutes. of August 11, 198] for the reasons set forth therein, and THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. As provided by Section 9.278 of the Eugene Code, 1911, the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes are hereby amended to reflect the following change of zone: Tax Lots 100 , 101, 300 , 400 , 500 , 600 , lDD ~, 800 , 9O0 , l 00D , 1100 , 1404 , 1500, 1600, and 1100-Assessor's Map 11-03-17-1 4; Tax Lot ]00--Assessor's Map 17-D3-11-4 1, as more particularly described on the attached Exhibit "~", located west of Coburg Road, north and south of Crescent Raad. Change of zone from R-1 Low-density Residential District to R-2/SR Limited Mu1 ti p1 e-Family Residential District with Site Review Procedures , sai d site review procedures addressing concerns as set forth in Exhibit "B",attached. Section 2. The Planning Director be and is hereby authorized and directed to cause the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to show the foregoing ORDINANCE--Page 1 of 2 18858 change of classification of area and to note thereon the rule with respect to building in the appropriate classification.
