An ordinance initiating the vacation of the following described
street, to-wit:
As described on Exhibit 'tA", attached hereto and in-
corporated herein by reference. Skelton Sv 81--2
THE CITY GF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN A5 FoLLOW~s:
Section 1. The City Council, of the City of Eugene herein ini-
bates the vacation proceedings on its own authority without peti-
tion or consent of the property owners, e.~xcept as provided by statute,
of the above described street.
Section 2. A hewing shall be held upon the proposal to vacate
the street as herein provided, and the hearing shall be held an the
18th day of November, 1981, at noon, Pacific Standard Time of said
date, at the Council Chambers at City Hall,, Eugene, Oregon, at which
time all persons will be heard upon objections or suggestions with
regard to the vacation, and at said time the Council will provide
for the vacation of the street or deny such. vacation, and in case
the vacation is made, will provide and. make provision for any damages
sustained by ~,ocal assessment.
Section 3. The City Recorder is hereby directed to immediately
publish once each week for four consecutive weeks in a newspaper pub-
~,ished in Eu~'ene, Lake County, Oregon, notice of the proposed ~Taca-
tion, The notice shall give~a descripta.on o~ the area to be vacated
as herein set out; state the. date when this ordinance was passed, the
name of any petitioners petit~,oning for the ~racatan, and the date
when the petition, togethex w%th, any objections or remonstrances which
may be made in writing and ,failed w~i~th the Recorder of the City of

Eugene prior to the date of the. heaxing, will be heard and considered.
Section 4. The City Recorder shall forthwith and within five
days after the first publication of the notice post, or cause to be
posted, at or near each. end of the proposed vacation a copy of the
foregoing, which. shall be headed "Notice of Street vacation," and
which natice shall be posted in at least two conspicuous places in or
on the area proposed to be vacated.
The posting and the fist day of publication of the notice shall
e not ess than twenty-e~.~ht ~ 2 $ ~ days be.~ore th.e time set for hear-
ing.

NOTICE TS HEREBY G~vEN that at a meeting o~ the City Council
of the City of Eugene, held at the Council Chambers at City Hall,
Eugene, Oregon, on the 30th day of September, 19$l, there was
passed by the City Council and approved by the Mayor of the City
of Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, an ordinance setting a hearing to
be held on the 1Sth day of November, 19$1, at 12:4w noon., Pacific
Standard Time, at the Council Chambers at City Ha~.l, Eugene, Oregon,
for the purpose of hearing ren~onstra~ces and protests against the
vacation by ordinance of~the City Council of the following:
