AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING zoNING REGULATIONS;
AMENDING SECTION 9.254 OF THE EUGENE CODE,
1971; AMENDING THE CAPTION PRECEDING SECTION
9.604 OF THAT CODE; ADDING A NEW SECTION
9.607 TO THAT CODE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 9.254 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is hereb

amended by inserting in alphabetical order therein the followin :

9.254
Floodw~. The channel of a watercourse re-
quired to provide for passage of a one percent chance
flood .
Section 2. The caption immediately preceding Section 9.6Q4 of
the Eugene Code, 1971, is hereby amended to read and provide.
General Pravisions - Special Permit Requirements for Flood
Hazard Sub-Districts, Floodwa Development Prohibitions
Section 3. There is hereby added to the Eugene Cade, 1971, a
new section to be numbered and provide as follows:

Section 3. That the provisions contained herein concern the
public welfare and safety, and in order to provide for the orderl
