AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING ASSESSMENTS FOR PAVING,
SANITARY SEWER AND STORM SEWER W2THIN AND ADJACENT
To JUDSON SUBDIVISION; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 18913;
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that:
On January 25, 1982, by Ordinance No. 15913, certain assessments
were levied against the parcels of property described therein in
accordance with applicable provisions of the Eugene Code, 1971 for
paving and construction of sanitary and storm sewers within and ad~a~-
cent to Judson Subdivision.
It has now been determined that certain of the parcels described
therein are owned by Thomas Craig Campbell, who filed a petition in
bankruptcy no. 681-06484 on November 27, 1981. Federal bankruptcy
law prohibits the placing of such a lien on a bankrupt's property,
and in order to be in compliance therewith the assessments should be
deleted from the assessment role and the lien thereby removed. Now,
therefore,
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Based upon the above findings, which are incorpor--
ated herein by reference, the Final Assessment Ro11 set forth in
Ordinance No. 18913 passed by the Council and approved by the Mayor
on January 25, 1952 is hereby amended by deleting therefrom the
following assessments leveed therein against Thomas Craig Campbell:

and the total levy assessed pursuant to ordinance No. 18913 as set
forth in Section 1 thereof is hereby reduced to the sum of $14,455.50.
Section 2. Except as herein specifically amended, all other pro-
visions of Ordinance No. 18913 remain in full force and effect.
Section 3. That this ordinance be appended to and made apart
of ordinance No. 15913.
Section 4. That the matters contained herein concern the public
welfare, and in order to insure timely notification of the remaining
property owners, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this
ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage by the
City Council and approval by the Mayor.
