As drafted, the prohibition would apply to all City parks and County parks within the City limits, unless authorization has been granted in writing. The not ice to be publ ished in the Reg ister Guard is also enclosed, and you will need to fill in the date of adoption of the rule and date of publication. I f no objections are received, please forward us a copy of the Administrative Order as filed with the City Recorder with the information as to date filed and effec- tive date filled in. FOR FILING FEa 1 ? 1981 fILE NO. _OR Rt;.- ~ DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON AMENDING THE PARK RULES BY ADDING A NEW SEC- TION 1. 071 BANNING GLASS BEVERAGE CONTAINERS WITHIN CITY PARKS. Pursuant to the authority of Sections 2.812 et seq. of the Eugene Code, 1971, the Executive Manager of the Department of Parks and Recreation of the City of Eugene hereby adopts the following amendment to the Park Rules: A new Rule is hereby added to the Park Rules to be numbered 1.071 and to provide: 1.071 GLASS BEVERAGE CONTAINERS. Except as authorized in writing by the Executive Manager of the Parks & Recreation Department, no person may possess a beverage container made of glass in any City park or County park within the City limits, or bring, carry or transport any beverage container made of glass into any City park or County park within the City limits. The foregoing amendment to the Park Rules is adopted this }Z+hday of January, 1987. A notice thereof shall be published in the Register Guard, a newspaper of general circulation within the City, advising interested persons of the time and place for sub- mi tting wr i tten obj ections thereto or comments thereon, and that in the absence of valid objections the Executive Manager will thereafter file the same with the City Recorder and the Rule will become effective 30 days from the date so filed, as indicated be low. ~~-t J)r~-e/~ Ernest Drape1a, Executive Manager Parks and Recreation Department Filed with the City Recorder: Februa.ry I~ /, g7 Effective as of: h1dt"c:.h ", "g7 Park Rules NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF A NEW CITY OF EUGENE PARK RULE NOTICE is hereby given that on January 12, 1987, Ernest Drapela, Executive Manager of the Eugene ParkS-and Recreation Department, adopted the following amendment to the Eugene Park Rules: 1.071 GLASS BEVERAGE CONTAINERS. Except as authorized in writing by the Execu- tive Manager of the Parks & Recreation Department, no person may possess a beverage container made of glass in any City park or County park within the City limits, or bring, carry or transport any beverage container made of glass into any City park or County park within the City limits. All persons desiring to comment thereon must submit the same in writing to the undersigned, at the address indicated, within ten days from the date of publication of this notice. If no valid comments or objections thereto are received within the prescribed time, the Executive Manager will thereafter file the amendment to the Park Rules with the City Recorder and the Rule will become effective 30 days from the date so filed.
