An ordinance initiating the vacation of the fallowing described
pedestrian way, to-wit:
Beginning at the northwest corner of Lot 7, Block
2, of Wardell Estates as platted and recorded in
Book 35, Page 28, Lane County Plat Records, Lane
County, oregon, and running South 192.80 feet,
thence north S2°40' West 15.12 feet; thence North
190. S7 feet; thence east 15.00 feet to the point

THE CITY of EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Eugene herein ini-
tiates the vacation proceedings on its own authority without peti-
tion or consent of the property owners, except as provided by statute,
of the above described pedestrian way.
Section 2. A hearing shall be held upon the proposal to vacate
the pedestrian way as herein provided, and the hearing shall be held
on the 2 6th day of Ntay, l9 82 , at noon Pacific Daylight Time of said
date, at the Council Chambers at City Hall, Eugene, oregon, at which
time all persons will be heard upon objections or suggestions with
regard to the vacation, and at said time the Council will provide
for the vacation of the pedestrian way or deny such vacation, and
in case the vacation is made, will provide and make provision for
any damages sustained by local. assessment.
Section 3. The City Recorder is hereby directed to immediately
publish once each week for four consecutive weeks in a newspaper pub-
lisped in Eugene, Lane County, oregon, notice of the proposed vaca-
tion. The notice shall give a description of the area to be vacated
as herein set out; state the date when this ordinance was passed, the
name of any petitioners. petitioning for the vacation, and the date

when the petition, together with any objections or remonstrances which
may be made in writing and filed with the Recorder of the City of
Eugene prior to the date of the hearing, will be heard and considered.
Section 4. The City Recorder shall forthwith and within five
days after the first publication of the notice postr or cause to be
posted, at or near each end of the proposed vacation a copy of the
foregoing, which shall be headed "L~lotice of Pedestrian wa Vacation "

and which notice shall be posted in at least two conspicuous laces

in or on the area proposed to be vacated.
The posting and the first day of publication of the notice shall
be not less than twenty-eight ~_2$} days before the time set for hear~-
ing.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a meeting of the y:ity Council
of the City of Eugene, held at the Council Chambers at City mall,
Eugene, Oregon, on the 14th day of April, 1982, there were passed
by the City Council and approved by the I{iayar of the City of Eugene,
Lane County, Oregon, Ordinances setting hearings to be held"on the
26th day of May, 1982, at 12:00 noon, Pacific Daylight Time, at
the Council Chambers at City Ha11, Eugene, Oregon, for the purpose

westerly line of said parcel a distance of 5.00 feet to the

line a distance of 39.78 feet to the true point of beginning;
thence North 69 ° 32' 47~' East a distance of 39.24 feet; thence
