ESTABLISHMENT OF PERFORMING ARTS UNEARNED INCOME
.FUND; AMENDING SECTION 2.525 OF THE EUGENE CODE
1971; ADDING A NEW SECTION 2.529 TO THAT CODE• r
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that:
Except in the instances specified therein, section 2.52

of the Eugene Code, 1971, provides that no checks '
exceeding
$3,000 per check and an aggregate sum of 10

in payment of City bills in the interval between '
council
meetings.
Section 2.5251}4h} provides limited flexibilit in th

payment of certain bills during weeks when the Council does
not
meet.

industry practice that promoters, performers and cer '

THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS;
Section 1. Subsection tl} of Section 2,525 of the Eu
gene
Code, 1971, is hereby amended by addin anew sub ar

Section 2. There is hereby added to the Eu ene Code 1

new section to be numbered and provide:
2.529 Performin Arts Unearned Income Fund ~- Administ '
ration.
1} The finance officer is authorized to establish such
accounts authorized by ORS 294.0357} as are necessar to de osit

receipts of unearned income and disburse the funds when e
arned.
Unearned income means advance sales of admission tickets
including advance collection of the patron user fee and
room and
hall deposits.
