ORDINANCE No. X8958
AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLA55IFICATION AND
AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY DF EUGENE, OREGON
THE CITY COUNCIL DF THE CITY OF EUGENE FII~US THAT:
Pursuant to the provisions of OR5 227.215 and Sections 9.278 and 9,6~i8
through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority
and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change
the zoning c1 assi f i cati on of property within the City of Eugene;
Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans-
mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission
and this City Council, the request for zone change classification is in con-
formance with the General Plan; there is a public need for the change in zone;
and the pub 1 i c need can best be served by changing the c 1 ass i f i c ati on of the
property;
NOW, THEREFORE,
Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its awn the
specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department staff notes
of March 9, 1982, and the Planning Commission mi nudes of March 9, 1982, for the
reasons set forth therein, and
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. As provided by Section 9.278 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the
zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes are hereby
amended to ref 1 ect the fo 11 owi ng change of zone:
Tax Lot 302--Assessor's Map 17-G4-36-2 4, as more particularly des-
cribed on the attached Exhibit A, located west of Chambers Street, on
the north side of West Broadway Avenue.
Change of zone from RGISR Garden Apartment Residential District with
Site Review procedures to M-21SR Light Industrial District with Site
Review procedures, said Site Review procedures addressing concerns as
set forth in Exhibit B, attached.
Section 2. The Planning Director is hereby authorized and directed
to cause the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes
attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Gode, 1971, to show the foregoing
