RN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE AND SIGN DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE zONING MAP AND SIGN DISTRICT MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 5.813, 9.278, and 9.668 through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, t.o change the zoning and sign district classification of property within the City of Eugene; Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the this City Council, the request for zone change and sign classification i s in conformance with the Genera] Plan; for the change in zone; and the public need can best be c 1 as s i f i c at i on of the property; NOW, THEREFORE, the maters a] s trans- Planning Commission and district change of there is a public need served by changing the Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the specific affirmative findings cant ai ned i n the P 1 ann i ng Department staff notes of April 6, 1982, and the Planning Commission minutes of April 6, 1982, far the reasons set forth therein, and THE CITY DF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. As provided by Sections 9.278 and 8.625 of the Eugene Code, 1971, t e zoning map, the sign district map, and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes and the sign code schedule of district changes are hereby amended to ref 1 ect the fo 11 owi ng change of zone and sign district : ' Tax Lat 11900, 12000, 12100, and 12204--Assessor's Map 17-03-16-3 3 as more particularly described in the attached Exhibit A located along the east side of Coburg Road south of Belt 1 i ne Road Change of zone from R-1 Low-Density Residential District Tax Lot 11900} and RA Suburban Residential District Tax Lots 12000, 12100, and 12240} to C-21SR Community Commercial District with. site review procedures, Said site review procedures addressing concerns as set forth in Exhibit B attached and a change of sign district from Residential Sign District to Professional-Office Sign District. ORDINANCE--Page 1 of 2 IS'973 Section 2, The Planning Director be and is hereby authorized and directed to cause the zoning map, the sign district map, the schedule of sign district classification changes attached to Chapter 8, and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to show the foregoing change of classification of area and to note thereon the rule with respect to building in the appropriate classification.
