AN ORDINANCE LEVYING ASSESSMEhfTS FOR paV~ng, sanitary Sewer and storm sewer within and t adjacent to Judson Subdivision Jab ~150a) in the City of Eugene, Lane County, Oregon RECITALS: The City Council of the City of Eugene did by Resolution No. 3253 ,adopted ~CtCber ~$ l9 ~~ , determine to pave streets and construct sanitary and storm sewers within and ascent to Judson Subdivision The City Counci 1 authorized the execution of a contract for the construction of the local improvements on J~T,~ ~'4~ > 1 g $~ The local improvements have been constructed in accordance with the contract and applicable provisions of the Eugene City Cade and the cost thereof and amount to be assessed have been ascertained to be: Item 1, Cash Payments to Contractor -Contract # $D-23 ~ 54,22D.11 ' Contract # Item 2• Maintenance Retainage Item 3. That the total cost of paving, sanitary sewer and storm sewer within an a ~acent to Judson Subdivision in the City of Eugene, is the sum of ~ ~_ 50,088.50_ , aforesaid, which is by this ordinance assessed against the parcels of property hereinafter described in the amounts set apposite, respectively, Section 2. That the City Co~anci 1 cif the Ci ~,,y of ~ ~uc~c~ne dogs hereby determine that each-parcel of land or lot her~inbefore described is specifically benefittdd to the extent of the assessment ~~ereinbefore set forth, and does hereby declare each and all of said assessments to be liens upon the respective lots, parts of lots or parcels of land against which said several amounts are assessed, and drders and directs the City Recorder to eater in the docket of City liens, a statement thereof containing the following: First: A description of each-lot, part of lot or acreage properly liable far such improvement. second: The name of the owner or reputed owner thereof, or that the name of the owner is unknown. ~hird: The sum assessed upon said property and the date of entering the same ire the said Jacket of pity Liens, Section 4. That these provisions concern the public welfare because of the necessity to promptly record and ascertain the amount of each asses~xment and the lien arising therefrom, and the need to promptly notify affected property owners, and therefore an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this Ordinance shall become effective immediately . upon its passage by the Council and approval by the Mayor.
