AN ORDINANCE CO~~CFRNING THE CITIZEN INVOLVEMENT COMMITTEE: AMENDING
SECTION 2.013 OF THE El1GENE CODE, 1911; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
THE CITY OF E~~GENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
section 1. The designation of the term of the Neighborhood Leaders
Organization representative on the Citizen Involvement Committee as set forth
in the table of City Council boards, Committees, and Commissions in Section
2.013 of the Eugene Code, 1911, is hereby amended by increasing the term of
that member from one year to twa years.
Section 2. In conformance with Section 2.0139} of the Eugene Code,
1971, the terms of office of the five citizen members of the Citizen I nva 1 vement
Committee shall expire on the last day of the respective calendar years of their
appointments.
Section 3. The activities of the Citizen Involvement Committee involve
matters affecting the public welfare and safety, and in order to ensure the
continuation of those activities i n an orderly manner, an emergency i s hereby
declared to exist, and this ordinance shall became effective immediately upon
