AN ORDINANCE CREATING A FINANCIAL PLANNING
COMMITTEE; AMENDING SECTION 2.013 OF THE EUGENE
CODE, 1971; ADDING SECTIONS 2.366 AND 2.368 T4
THAT CODE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
THE CITY 4F EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. ~ Section 2.013 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is
hereby amended by adding in alphabetical order therein the following:

2.368 Financial Plannin Committee - Membershi ,Terms of
office .
~1} The financial planning committee shall consist
of the mayor, four councilors, and two ex-officio members of
the city's budget committee. All members shall be nominated
by the mayor and appointed by majority vote of the council.
~2} The terms of office of all members other than
the mayor shall be for two years, of the initial members,
two of the councilors shall be appointed for a two year
term, and two councilors shall be appointed for a one year
term. Thereafter, all appointments shall be for a two year
term.
~3} Vacancies in the committee shall be filled in
the same manner as original appointments.
Section 3. The matters contained herein concern the public
health, welfare and safety and therefore, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist, and this ordinance shall become effective

immediately upon its passage by the City Council and approval by
the Mayor.
