ORDINANCE N0. .3
AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND
AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT:
Pursuant to the provisions of ORS X27,215, Section 9.18 and 9.668
through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority
and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change
the zoning classification of property within the City of Eugene;
Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans-
mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission
and this Council, the request for zone change classification is in conformance
with the General Plan; there is a public need for the change in zone; and the
public need can best be served by changing the classification of the property;
NOW, THEREFORE,
Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the
specif i c affirmative findings contained i n the P1 anni ng Department staff notes
of April 3, 1919, and the Planning Commission minutes of April 3, 1979, for the
reasons set forth therein, and
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. As provided by Section 9.278 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the
zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes are hereby
amended to reflect the following change of zone:
Tax Lat 599--Assessor's Map 17-04-35-4 3, as more particularly described
on the attached Exhibit "A", located west of Oak Patch Road on the north
side of West 15th Avenue:
Change of zone from RA Suburban Residential District to R-2 Limited
Multiple-Family Residential District,
Section 2. The Planning Director be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to cause the zoning map and the zani ng ordinance schedule of d7 stri ct
changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to shave the foregoing

change of classification of area and to note thereon the rule with respect
to building in the appropriate classification.
