AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION A~~1D
A~~ENDING THE ZONING SAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGO~~I
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT:
Pursuant to the provi s1 ons of ORS 227.215, .Section 9.278 and 9..568
through 9. X84 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Counci 1 has the authari ty
and responsi bi l ~ ty, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change ~ '
the .zoning c1 assi f i cati on of property wi thin the City of Eugene;
Based upon the report of the P1 anni ng Co~mi ssi on, the ~~ateri al s ~trans~-
mi tted therewith, and the. evidence presented before the Planning Commission. and
~thi s Counci ]. , the request for zone change classification i s i n conformance Zvi th
the General Plan; there i s a ~ubl is need for tie change in zone; and the public
need can best be served by changing the ~cl assi fi cati on of the property;
NOW, THEREFORE,
Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the
s;~eci fic affirmative findings. conta.~ ned i n the P1 anni ng Depar~a~ent Staff Notes
of June 5, 1979, and P1 anni ng Commission ~ni notes of June ~5, 1979, for the
reasons set forth .therein, and
~~ THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. As provided by Section 9.278 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the
zoning yap and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes are hereby
amended to ref 1 ec t the following change ~of zone :
Tax Lots 1203 and 13OD--Assessor's ~~~ap 17--~3~07, ~as~ more particul arty
' described on the attached Exhibit A, located south of Ayers Road, east
of Delta Highway.
Annexati an to the City of Eugene and the Lane County h1etropo1 i tan Waste--
water Service District and concurrent apps icati on of City zoning from
County AGT Agric.ul tural , Grazing, and Timber Raising District and RA
Suburban Residential District to City R~1/~D Suburban ~tesidential District
with P1 a~nned Unit Development .Procedures. .
Section 2; That the zani ng designations provided for herein shat l
becor~e e ~ect~ ve upon entry of a Fi nal Order of the Lane County Boundary
Co~nmi ssi on annexing territory described i n Exhibit. "A"attached hereto.

changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to show the foregoing
